Representation and communication<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MUSCO brings together four pediatric institutions as part of a multi-stakeholder process that must be aligned in a structured, coherent manner with the Initiative\u2019s objectives. The corresponding governance bodies therefore include representatives of each of the partner institutions, as well as their respective hospital foundations and the Mirella & Lino Saputo Foundation. The governance structure encourages all partners to be equally involved and ensures that they have access to comprehensive information about the progress of the Initiative.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Input of families<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MUSCO has one overriding goal: to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. To achieve this, it is essential to understand their needs. The governance of the Initiative therefore ensures families\u2019 voices are front and centre of the conversation, notably through the Advisory Pole, which brings together several parents and patients who have experience with at least two of MUSCO’s partner institutions. These parents or patients serve as Patient Experts<\/a> for the Initiative. Beyond the Advisory Pole, families are also involved in several MUSCO working groups as Patient Resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
